Have you ever wondered what you really want in life, and you didn’t know how to get it?
Do you ever wish you had a clear idea about what your future would look like?
Sometimes we don’t even take the time to really think about what we want and who we want to be, and we feel like we have no control over our future like a boat at the mercy of the waves.
The truth is that deep down you already know what you want and you have the power to achieve it!
How is that possible?
This story can help us understand the importance of our intentions in creating the future that we desire.

During a momentous battle, a Japanese general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident they would win, but his men were filled with doubt. On the way to the battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said, “I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If tails, we shall lose. Destiny will now reveal itself.”
He threw the coin into the air and all watched intently as it landed. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious. After the battle, a lieutenant remarked to the general, “No one can change destiny.”
“Quite right,” the general replied as he showed the lieutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.

Like the Japanese general in the story we can be in control of our future and we have the power to create it if we set our mind to it.
Is that really possible? If so, how can we do it?
The answer is yes and meditation can be a simple and powerful tool!
When we meditate we become more aware of our emotions and our thought patterns. In other words we understand better where we are focusing our energy, which means that we can also shift our focus and use our minds to manifest new outcomes.
